The other day, a round table was held in Kyiv, where the problems of environmental protection during the war and post-war reconstruction were discussed. It was organized by the public union “Enough to Poison Kryvyi Rih”.
Roman Palchykov, Head of the First Foundation for Rebuilding Ukraine, joined the event.
The round table consisted of three blocks, which were devoted to pressing and urgent issues:
— observance of the principle of non-discrimination of residents of industrial regions during the post-war reconstruction of the country, reforming of the environmental monitoring system, and recognition of non-state monitoring systems;
— consequences of military operations for the environment in terms of sustainable management of destruction waste;
— demining the territories of Ukraine.
